Fit for a Princess!
My daughter recently turned 5 and yesterday we celebrated with a Fabulous Princess Tea Party!
The living room was decorated with tissue paper flowers that a friend had saved for me from a wedding in the summer and they were strung from the ceiling using fishing line. You can learn how to make your own tissue papers flowers at MarthaStewart.com
The table was set with tea cups and saucers that iI picked up at the thrift store for about $1/each which we later packed up for the girls to take home with their other party goodies.
We served tutti fruity kids tea and well as Cherry Vanilla Rooibos tea and juice. The girls loved being able to put milk and sugar cubes into their tea just like real princesses!
Real Princess Tea would not be complete without cakes and cookies!
The tea pots and cups are a basic sugar cookie decorated with royal icing.
The white little petit fours are made from store bought pound cake, that I sliced and spread with Nutella to make little filled cakes that I dipped in white chocolate.
And finally, we served cake truffles and cake pops! You can find the recipe here (minus the booze of course!)
